Cy and Sal Space Explorers - AKA The "Page of Wands" for the 78 Tarot Astral Deck. The Page of Wands is a fire card representing exploration, discovery, enthusiasm & a free spirit. I decided to portray my Page of Wands as Cyborg Explorer Kitten "Cy" with his Space Salamander sidekick "Sal"! Cy & Sal are excited to explore this unknown purple planet with it's three mountains & distant star filled galaxies. The red feather of accomplishment from the traditional card is symbolized as part of Cy's red cyborg eye. I brought the symbol of the tail chasing salamander from the traditional card to life by Sal riding on the Cy's tail. The wand has many fire elements such as the moon glyph for fire, under that the fiery healing crystal Carnelian, and then the elemental symbol for Fire. Cy & Sal are enthusiastic space explorers with a passion for discovering their destiny!

What's Up Next?   My "Page of Wands" piece for the 78 Tarot Astral Deck is complete!  I can't post the completed image. It will be revealed during the 78 Tarot Kickstarter Launch in April. Here's my last work in progress pic though :)I decided to paint my page as a Cyborg Explorer Kitten with his Space Salamander Sidekick! I'm not sure exactly what I'm working on next. Probably some kind of Fairy Cat for the next Rabbit Hole Artist Collection Auction in April. 78 Tarot Astral Deck Rough Sketch "Page of Wands"

I'm thrilled to be a part of the 78 Tarot Astral Deck! Here's my Rough Sketch for the "Page of Wands" :) I've painted Alien kitties in the past so I wanted to do something different. I haven't does a part robot cat yet! So how about a Cyborg Explorer Kitten with his Space Salamander sidekick? Symbolism for the card - I kept the layout similar to the classic card & explorer, free spirit aspects. The background will have the 3 mountains & the sky will be full of stars & galaxies. I may add in a constellation that's linked with my card (not sure yet). The kitty is standing similar to the traditional card holding the wand however I want him looking forward. He will have the red feather symbolized as part of his red cyborg eye. In the traditional card the salamander is shown a symbols on the page's clothes & they are chasing their tails. My little space salamander is riding on the cat's tail instead. The wand has the Moon Glyph for Fire at the top of it, under that the healing crystal Carnelian which is orange/red & under that the elemental symbol for Fire. I think that about covers everything for my card. Time to paint!!
