**New Jewelry!**

New! Fantasy Cat Cameo Cuff Bracelets! The cuff bracelets feature an oval bezel with silver plated overlay. My fantasy cat images is set under a clear cabochon. The cabochon measure 25x18mm (about 1 inch tall & 3/4 inch wide with the setting) The cuff easily bends to accommodate different wrist sizes. **Meet Mika!**

Anakin's New Brother from another Mother! We rescued Mika from a Texas shelter. Mika is a special kitty just like Anakin. Mika has about 1/2 of a tail. He has all of one back leg except for the actual foot part where the pads and toes would be, and his other back leg stops a little ways passed his knee and just rounds off at the end. They say he was born this way. Mika is a super friendly sweet cat and has already made him self at home with Anakin and The Gang. Like Anakin, we will be giving Mika the absolute best possible home, love and care. I Painted Yesterday! Yay! Anakin was my helper...

 

So yesterday for the first time since I brought Anakin home.... I Painted! Yay! I am finishing up a painting of a gorgeous cat with a pair of cute little owls. Of course the second I had all of my art supplies out Anakin had to come over and see what I was up to. He smelled my paint water, paint brushes and looked around at the canvas for a minute. Then went up to the perch on the cat tower and watched me paint from there. He's going to be such a good little painting helper :) Oh an yes I will be painting & drawing Ani once this painting is done ;) For those of you that are new to Anakin's page or my artwork. New Video! Anakin's Lunch & Afternoon Nap, Here's Ani being fed his lunch. He gets very excited when I bring his food over to him. After he eats he goes & relaxes in his little bed & takes a nap.

Anakin making Happy Feet or "making biscuits". I made this video today (6/19/12). Ani is feeling so much better & it shows! He's such a sweet happy little guy!



Meet Anakin! Ani is a two legged cat, born without a pelvis or back legs but that doesn't stop him. He is full of love & life! My family and I rescued Anakin and I am caring for him. My family and I are lifelong animal lovers and will give Ani the absolute best possible home, love and care. I will be posting updates, photos and videos of Anakin on his Facebook page, Twitter and YouTube as he grows.

Anakin being a spaz! He's feeling so much better since his surgery. Ani had surgery earlier this week to correct a prolapsed rectum and had some complications from his surgery. This morning he was making up for all the down time he's had this week. Check out that Crazy Face! LOL! :)

Meet Anakin "Ani" our new kitten without back legs

We have a new kitten! A very special new kitten. I wasn't looking to get another cat right now but you know how these things just happen.... About two weeks ago a kitten without back legs started coming over to eat with the other feral cats at my dad's work. My first few trips to attempt to catch it didn't work out. Then Thursday (5/31), Ian, Angel and I went to see if this was the day we could catch it. The kitten was cowering in the bushes and I climbed into the bushes and pulled the kitten out. We brought the kitten home and I set it up in our hall bathroom, exactly like I did with Trixie & Pixie two years earlier. Friday morning (6/1) I took him to our vet as soon as they opened. Our vet said she has never seen anything like him before and he is amazing and that it's also amazing that his mother took care of him even with his handicap. She examined him and he is a little boy, approximately 6 to 8 weeks old and it in really good health. Two xrays on him showed he was born with no pelvis or back legs. We let him walk around the room for a minute to see how he moves. He positions his front legs at an angle towards the middle of his body and balances his backend in the air with the use of his tail touching the ground if he needs it. He gets around really well that way and is pretty quick too. The xray also showed that his insides were not malformed, last was the feline leukemia test. He's came back negative. So we got him vaccinated, dewormed and a little flea meds and unless we have any problems with him, he goes back to the vet in three weeks :) Now, he is home getting comfy in his little bathroom and will be there for a while till he is bigger, stronger and ready to be socialized with the other cats and our dog. He is such a sweet calm little guy :) He is happy to cuddle in our laps and purrs really loud. He likes to play with a little toy mouse and also chase a beaded necklaces around on the floor. We have decided to name him Anakin and will be calling him "Ani" (yes after Anakin Skywalker :D ) Here's an album of photos of him I've started on Facebook Anakin Our Kitten Without Back Legs and video of him walking....

I hope you are enjoying the Spring Time! I have been staying super busy. I had my artist's alley table at MegaCon in February. I've went on vacation to Disney and the Big Cat Rescue with my family in March. As for April, I've been doing a lot of spring cleaning here around my house and studio too. Now it's time to get back to some art! ;D So I have a few thing to share with you today! New Art! "St. Paddy's Day Cat" !
